H3X Technologies has announced the HPDG-30, a breakthrough in its hybrid powerplant roadmap, designed to deliver high power density in an ultra-compact and efficient package. This new product combines a high-performance combustion engine with H3X’s HPDM-30 generator, offering a complete hybrid-electric solution tailored for aerospace and defense applications.
Key performance highlights include:
- 30 kW electrical output in a compact 32 kg package
- Hybrid architecture: Combustion engine + HPDM-30 generator
- Liquid fuel input → High-voltage DC output (180–800V)
- Effective energy density of 580 Wh/kg with 1 hour of onboard fuel
- Up to 840 Wh/kg with 2 hours of fuel – over 4× higher than lithium-ion batteries
- Closed-loop cooling system – no external cooling support required
- Target TBO (Time Between Overhaul) of 500–1000 hours
- DFARS-compliant supply chain 🛡️
The HPDG-30 is designed to be modular, rugged, and ready for mission-critical environments, offering unmatched performance in applications where weight, endurance, and power density are paramount.
"This is the latest step in our mission to deliver the most power-dense solutions in the world,” said the H3X team. “With the HPDG-30, customers can achieve longer range, more payload capacity, and more flexible architectures for hybrid-electric platforms."
The HPDG-30 is now available for early access programs. For more information or to inquire about evaluation units, contact the H3X team.
